Often times, we have landlords that come to us asking if they can do a three-day notice on their own. This type of form is also called a notice to quit. We recommend that landlords do not do it on their own, as three-day notices, or notice to quit, are very technical. If there are any errors in the notice to quit, whether it be form, date or house served, then the entire process is void. You have to start over from the beginning. Therefore, we do recommend that landlords come to us first and discuss the notice to quit prior to having it served on their tenant.
