This is of the utmost importance because parents send their children to school every day assuming that they will return in the same safe condition in the afternoon that they were that morning. If you pass a school bus in Connecticut that was stopped and letting children on or off, not only are you going to face a serious, serious fine but your insurance rates will undoubtedly be altered significantly. So, when you see a bus with flashing yellow lights and then, red, make sure you do not pass that bus. In fact, when you see the flashing yellow light, you need to know that it’s time to stop because the red lights are going to start right away. Some buses, more and more each day are equipped with cameras to record vehicles that pass through flashing red lights.  Besides the obvious fines and insurance ramifications, you never want to be in the situation where you could hit a child coming off of a bus.  So please, be aware of flashing lights on a school bus and call us if you find yourself in this situation.
