Landlords will often come to us with a tenant who has caused damage to their property and is causing ongoing damage to their property. They may have grounds to evict the tenant, take possession of the property, and use the security deposit to recover the damages.  This could also be a situation where they should contact the police as there may be criminal charges that the landlord can file against the tenant for the damage being caused to their property.
