If you own a property or you have tenants living there and you want to sell that property, you need to negotiate as a party purchase and sale agreement whether or not the tenants are going to remain there. The new buyer may want the tenants to be there and may consume your portion of the lease or the purchase and sale agreement may require that you remove the tenants and make the property empty to the new buyer. In which case, you need to work with the tenants for them to voluntarily leave the property or you may need to evict them depending on the terms of the lease as well as the terms that purchase and sale agreement with the new buyer
